Now that the new year has officially begun, it’s time for me to sit down and write down my thoughts on 2020. As I said in my blog post from 2019, I like to establish intentions for the year as guidelines. That way, I’m not setting goals that won’t motivate me which then leads me to feeling guilty if I don’t complete it. The endless circle!
Since I had a great 2019, I want to continue with the same intentions and momentum that I have going. Just because the date has changed to 2020, doesn’t mean I’m a new person all of a sudden. Which is why….. two out of the four intentions for 2020 will be the same as last year. Here we go!
FOCUS | ORGANIZE | ACTION |LEARN
Focus: As I said last year, I want tackles projects, this blog and day to day tasks with a layer of concentration. I’m so easily distracted by my phone and social media lately and it’s causing me to be less productive and less present.
Organize : While I’ve gotten so much better with organization, I still have ways to go in creating processes and less clutter in my life. There are many things I want to physically and mentally clear out. I love following The Anna Edit because she is the queen of organization, so I really want to tap into her resources this year.
Action: I never want to be the person that’s all talk and never takes action on what I say. It’s time to worry less about what people think and just do.
Learn: The only way I’ll grow is if I keep learning, so there’s many things I want to educate myself on like cooking, politics, climate change, buying a house, personal finance, growing a business and the list goes on. Which is why I need to prioritize my level of focus, so I can tackle one thing at a time and actually action on it. See what I did there?
I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and successful 2020!
xx
